    1. [CAKERN] Kern County look-ups
    2. Hello listers & requesters, I think that most of you have heard my moaning and groaning over the necessity of babysitting workmen for multiple repairs on my new house. When we moved in at the end of January 2007 we had no idea it would still be ongoing for nearly a year. Just as that was beginning to thin out, my husband had surgery on his right shoulder and was laid up for 6 weeks. He was back at work for about 2 weeks when he had a heart attack while working on a job in Missouri. During his convalescence he joined me on my library treks to search for obits and he finds it very boring. During all of this I also cared for 3 of our grandsons, ages 1 yr, 2 yrs, & 4 yrs, M-F while their parents taught school. I want to tell you all how much I appreciate your patience in regard to all the obit requests I accepted for Kern County between November of 2006 and now. I have finally finished the lookups and will now commence the transcribing. Needless to say, I will need to space them out to some degree, I don't want to inundate the lists, and I doubt I could even do them all in a month of transcribing 24/7. For those that have/had asked for news articles connected with the death obit, I will be doing those last. In fact, if necessary, I might even scan them and post them to the Kern County Message board where you can read them for yourself. Thanks again, Sharon Kern Co.
