    3. Hi, I'm hoping somebody can help me. I'm trying to find a marriage between Lillian SALMON born 1906 and living close to or in Bakersfield, Kern County and Harold F BENEDICT born circa 1904. The marriage took place circa 1927/28 in I believe Kern County, it didn't last very long and they got divorced on 20th December 1929 in Kern County. Any help with this long standing brick wall would be much appreciated. John Somerset England.

    3. John, the following news item should help you narrow down the marriage date for Lillian Salmon, as it appears she was still single in November of 1927: Fresno Bee, Fresno, California, Friday, Nov 11 1927, page 10 Ford City. -- The kindergarten school of Ford City has increased so much in attendance that Miss Lillian SALMON, who has charge of the children, has been given an assistant, Miss Fovarries-Buerkle. Miss Salmon last month had fifty-six pupils in her room and now has fifty-one as some have moved away. john <john.salmon@zen.co.uk> wrote: Hi, I'm hoping somebody can help me. 3. Hi Mary, Many, many thanks as you say that will help to narrow down the date. I knew she was a teacher from the 1930 Los Angeles Census she was then in Santa Monica City employed at the Unified School, some way from Ford City so it seems that she had left to find teaching work elsewhere. I also see that Ford City is very close to Taft. Harold BENEDICT was back living with his his folks there in 1930 after the divorce, it was probably while Lillian was working in Ford that she met with Harold.
