Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JW.2ADE/8018 Message Board Post: Airmen Roll Car, - One Dead 1 One In Hospital A young Edwards AFB airman, William Gurin, lost his life early Tuesday morning, June 14. when the car which he was riding in went out of control and turned over on Hwy 6, 2.1 miles north of the Willow Springs Road. Driver of the death car, borrowed from a friend, was Wallace W. Lebel, A/2c 6510th Food Services Sqd. of Edwards. He was going south on Hwy 6 when his vehicle wandered out on the west shoulder of the Highway, broadsided, skidded to the east shoulder and overturned, pinning the Gurin boy underneath. ,Antelope Valley ambulance took Lebel, who suffered major injuries to Mojave Medical Center for first aid and he later was transferred to Edwards AFB Hospital for further treatment. The body of the dead man was taken to Mumaw Funeral Home in Lancaster according to investigating officer Ernest Allington.
