HOPSON 1907-2005 Ridgecrest resident Willie H. Hopson passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Kern Valley Healthcare District in Mt. Mesa. He was 97. Private services were planned. Inurnment was at Ringling Cemetery in Ringling, Okla. Mr. Hopson was born Nov. 26, 1907 in Jefferson County, Okla. during his lifetime he was a welder. He welded on ships and tanks during WWII. He also was a rancher, a store owner and a night watchman. He retired in 1984. He enjoyed playing pool at the Senior Citizens Center and played very well. He was preceded in death by his son Richard Hopson. He is survived by his son Willie J. Hopson of Madill, Okla, daughter Wanda Billings of Ridgecrest, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. During his lifetime he was a welder. He welded on ships and tanks during WWII. He was also a rancher, a store-owner and a night watchman during different periods of his life. He retired in 1984. Willie played pool very well at the Senior Citizens Center. He is preceded in death by his son Richard Hopson. He is survived by his son Willie J. Hopson of Madill, OK and his daughter Wanda Billings of Ridgecrest, and 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
