Sgt. David King of the Mojave sheriff’s sub-station said he had received a call at 7:00 a.m. last Friday morning and arrived on the scene to find the man apparently dead. Dep. Coroner Richard Gervais came to Mojave and started an investigation. Bunnell had worked as a dishwasher in several cafes in Mojave and was a member of the Hotel and Restaurant Employees and Bartender Union, Local 550, who acted as pall bearers at his funeral services which were held Tuesday, June 19 with burial in the Mojave cemetery. Cause of death was listed as coronary thrombosis.
