He was 73. Memorial services will be held at the Trona Elks Lodge #1975 Saturday, April 30 at 11 am. Mr. Pedigo was born May 1, 1931 in Chesapeke, Mo. to Bertha and Hobert Pedigo. He served in the US Army from 1947 to 1950. After working on the railroad in Michigan for six years he moved to the Los Angeles area. He retired after 30 years with the California ippe trades. He moved to Trona in 1976. His family says this about him: "Russell was an avid fisherman and loved to gamble, these things coming in second to being with his grandchildren. He spent his last years serving and taking care of the old people's needs in the neighborhood." He was preceded in death by one son Ron Chance. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Linda Pedigo of Trona, three sons Mike and wife Yvonne Rexford of Norwalk, Rusty and wife Gail Pedigo of Lake Isabella, and Ed Pitman and Eric Alba of Mission Viego, daughters Rita and husband John Martin of Colorado, Pam and husband Ben Iniguez of Riverside and Rita Pitman-Matheny of Trona, daughter-in-law Kay Chance of Greensville, N.C., brothers Nelson Pedigo and Jimmy Pedigo, sister Lola Nell, 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
