She was 82. Visitation will be held Saturday April 16 from 9 am until 1 pm at Holland & Lyons Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday April 16 at 1 pm at Holland & Lyons Chapel. Mason Moore will officiate. Interment will follow at Desert Memorial Park. Mrs. Brents was born Jan. 25, 1923 to Walter and Lola Gaddis in Calexico. Her early eyars were spent in the farming community of the Imperial Valley. After high school she and her family moved to Oklahoma. In 1946 she met Granville Brents and they married three months later. The couple soon moved to Ridgecrest where they reared three children and had many successful businesses. They were a good team when it came to business and successfully ran Bremor Construction Company, Grandgood Lumber and Ridgecrest Concrete. Mrs. Brents enjoyed accounting, the stock market, Las Vegas and genealogy. She and her husband traveled extensively throught the US visiting all but one state. The family would like to thnak her cardiologists Dr. Low and Dr. Takeda of Sacramento for their loving care during her last years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Granville and her loving son Jay Brents. She is survived by two daughters Carol Patel (Arun) and Elaine Harris (Russ), daughter-in-law Beryl Brents, grandchildren Julie (Paul), Donna (John), Janet (Bill), April Brents - Jennifer, Sarah and Jack Harris - Beth and Andrew Patel, great-grandchildren Whitney, Kenny, Zackary, Nicholas and Abby, brother Clovis Gaddis (Lynn), and numerous nieces and nephews.
