Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JW.2ADE/8051 Message Board Post: Car, Train Crash Cause of Death Frank Whilldin of La Mesa died shortly after his car was hit at the Rosamond railroad crossing by the Southern Pacific daylight last Thursday, July 12. He was taken to the nearby Rosamond Medical Center for first aid by Dr. Hubert A. Larsen, who ordered him taken to the Antelope Valley Hospital for further aid. A Boron ambulance, which happened to be in the neighborhood took the injured man to the A. V. Hospital where he died an hour later from a reported brain injury. Whilldin was an employee of Convair at Edwards Air Fore Base and had only worked there a short. time before the fatal accident.
