I imagine you mean somewhere in Kern county, since you are posting on this board--but that's not absolutely clear. Do you know where your ancestor James DOVER is buried? Have you checked with that cemetery to learn whether Jesse is buried nearby? Although it won't help you with death/burial information, I did find an 1895 news item, which may be for your relative.
