He was 74. A private family celebration will be held at a later date. Mr. Fritchman was born March 6, 1931 in Amarillo, Texas and moved to Ridgecrest in 1945. He served with the US Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean War. He worked as an engineering technician until his retirement in 1995. He was a avid sportsman and outdoorsman and spent many hours growing his own garden. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking and golfing. He enjoyed reading and was quite a history buff. One of his favorite readings was National Geographic. His love for animals could be see with his dog Melissa a blue Australian heeler. Mr. Fritchman was preced in death by his brother Bobby in 1958. He is survived by hismother aline Hoaglund of Hemet, daughter Terry Rowell of Ridgecrest, daughter Vickie Lilly of Ridgecrest, sisters Mayvi McCorkle of Hemet, Sara Ann Mamsley of Las Vegas, Nev. and Dicki of Texas, granddaughters Andrea Lane of San Diego and August Rowell of Las Vegas, Nev., grandsons Braunson Lilly of Las Vegas, Nev., Barret Lilly of San Diego and Brock Lilly of Ridgecrest, nephews Bill McCorkle of Big Bear and Tom McCorkle of Glenwood Springs, colo, nieces Brenda Foehner of Ridgecrest and Aline Searl of Hemet, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He moved to Ridgecrest in 1945 and was employed as an engineering technician until 1995. Chuck was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. He spent many hours in his own garden and also enjoyed fishing, cooking and golfing. He enjoyed reading and was quite a history buff. One of his favorite things to read was the National Geographic. His love of animals could be seen with his dog Melissa a blue Australian heeler. Mr. Fritchman is survived by his mother Aline Hoagland of Hemet, daughters Terry and husband Dennis Rowell of Ridgecrest and Vicki and husband Chris Lilly of Ridgecrest, sisters Mayvi McCorkle of Hemet, Sara Ann Mamsley of Las Vegas, Nev. and dicki of Crosby, Texas, grandchildren andrea Lane of San Diego, August Rowell of Las Vegas, Braunson Lilly of Las Vegas, Barrett Lilly of San Diego, and Brock Lilly of Glenwood Springs, Colo., nieces Brenda Froehner of Ridgcrest and Aline Searle of Hemet and three great-grandchildren.
