She married John Charles Thorold in 1939. Together they raised two children, Lawrence Thorold and Nancy Lamb, who survive their mother. She was the grandmother of five and the great-grandmother of 11. Emma passed away on Easter Sunday. Her funeral and burial will be in Wayne, Mich.
