He and his woman companion were traveling south on Highway 6 toward Lancaster in a 1951 Chevrolet sedan, when he crossed over the center line five miles south of the Kern County Line and collided head on with a huge' truck and trailer. The accident was investigated by L. A. County Deputies Mauch and Shipp and it was reported that it took some time to extricate the bodies from the wreck. age. The victims were removed to Mumaw Funeral Home in Lancaster where they are awaiting further investigation.
