Born Aug. 26, 1944 in Reading, Pa., Nancy grew up and lived in Pennsylvania until she moved to the Tehachapi area in 1986. She met her husband, Rod Dees, in 1989 and they were married on Dec. 31, 1991. Together they enjoyed time with each other in Spain, Turkey, Greece, and many other places abroad. They also found a mutual love of spending time in Loreto, Mexico fishing, whale watching and exploring the ocean. Throughout her battle with cancer, Nancy continued to show her strength and love for her family. Her love of animals, adventure, the ocean, and most of all, her family, will always be remembered. Nancy is survived by her husband, Rodney Dees of Tehachapi; sons, Travis Dees and wife Erin of Tehachapi, Justin Dees of Santa Barbara and Shane Dees and wife Holly of Newcastle; grandchildren, Brett, Nicholas, Alexis and Taylor; sister, Carol Naugle; and brother, Mike Lankert.
