Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JW.2ADE/7688 Message Board Post: Death Rides Highway Aug. 1st A thirteen year old boy John Henry Stokes, was killed August 1st at 3:15 pm on Hiway 6, 19 miles north of Mojave when the car which was driven by his father, Lee A. Stokes of 318 E. 53rd St. Long Beach, went out of control while towing a one wheel trailer. The car rolled over three times throwing out all but the mother, father and smallest child. Others in the car were the boy's brothers George A. 14, Harold T. 5, William J. 3, and Larry Corbett 13, of 277 E. Norton Ave. L. B. The boy was brought to Mojave but was DOA.
