NORMAN 1909-2005 Ridgtecrest resident Lena C. Norman passed away Tuesday March 22, 2005 at Ridgecrest Healthcare. She was 95. Visitation will be Monday March 28 from 3 to 6 pm at Holland & Lyons Chapel. A Rosary will be said at 5 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 29 at 9 am at Holland & Lyons Chapel, the Rev. Robert E. Gamel will officiate. Burial will be at Desert Memorial Park. Mrs. Norman was born Oct. 5, 1909 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She served in the US Army during WWII as a physician's assistant. She worked at the Naval Weapons Center as an architectural draftsperson until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, oil and water color painting and listening to opera music. She was a member of the Ridgecrest Garden Club. Her other interest was the life and time of Abraham Lincoln. Mrs. Norman was preceded in death by her husband Earl Norman in 975, sisters Marie Million, rose Million, Frances Di Giovanna, Santina Million and her brother John Million. She is survived by two sisters Margaret Manuele of Springfield, Ill and Betty J. Norbut of Chatham, Ill. and a brother Samuel Million of New Orleans, La.
