He was 48 years old. A viewing will be held at Brune & Buck Mortuary on Wednesday May 25 between 6 and 8 pm and also on Thursday May 26 from 9 to 10 am. Graveside services will be held at Big Pine Community Cemetery on Thursday May 26 at 11 am. Pastor Tim Toppas of the First Baptist Church of Big Pine will officiate the service. Mr. Morton was born in La Mesa on Feb. 8, 1957 to Donald and Shirley Morton. He and his family moved to Big Pine in 1968. He was a graduate of Big Pine High School. He loved the outdoors, motorcycling, fishig, hunting, and just roaming around in the mountains with his dogs. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by family and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Morton. He is survived by his father Dink and Beverly Morton of Big Pine, son Tim Morton of Bishop, 2 daughters Jaime Morton of Las Vegas, Nev. and Allison Morton of Bishop, sister Donna and husband Noe Gadea of Bishop, brother Dwayne Morton of Big Pine, 4 nephews Scott and Mark Gadea, Ryan Morton, John and wife Tawny Salaiz, niece Courtney Morton, a great niece Jasmine Salaiz and 2 great nephews Raymond and John Salaiz Jr., several aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.
