He was 38. A memorial service will be held Saturday May 21 at 11 am at the Ridgecrest Mortuary, 437 W. Wilson Ave. Inurnment will be in the family plot in Minnesota. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a fund in the Kilgore family name at Kern Schools Federal Credity Union. Mr. Kilgore was born Sept. 29, 1969 in Austin, Minn. He finished a tour of duty with the US Air Force in 1991. He earned a bachelor's degree in art and was working to complete his degree in special education. He was a teacher at Murray Middle School. He enjoyed music and took acoustic guitar lessons. He appreciated the outdoors and nature and loved being with family and friends. He and his wife Jewel-le were awaiting the birth of his first son William Joseph "Joey" Kilgore. He is survived by his wife Jewel-le Kilgore and their unborn son William Joseph of Ridgecrest, daughter Kalilah Kilgore of Ridgecrest, son Derrick Meyer of Ridgecrest, parents Daryl Herbert and Nada Marcell Kilgore of Austin, Minn. and sister Charity. Private cremation and arrangements provided by Holland & Lyons Mortuary. Media information provided by the family.
