He was 60. Visitation and funeral services will be held in Phoenix, Ariz. Burial will be at the National Cemetery of Phoenix with military honors. Mr. Moore was born Feb. 18, 1945 in Rutherford County, N.C. He served in the US Army from 1962 until his retirement in 1985. He was a communications specialist. Following his retirement, he began working at Redstone Arsenal, Ala. He came to China Lake in 1991 and retired in 1998. He was a stay-at-home dad with his son Chris. He enjoyed watching cartoons and playing Yatzee with Chris and talking to his daughter Tracy on the phone. He also enjoyed talking on the phone with his best friend Fred Worby. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and wrestling and TV, playing slot and poker machines at Stateline and going to Phoenix to spend time with the family. His family says this about him: "Tom was a good man with a good heart. His family loved him very much and he will be very missed." He is survived by his wife Margarita Moore of Ridgecrest, son Christopher S. Moore of Ridgecrest, daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Doug Kilgore of Raymore, Mo., grandson Nathan Kilgore of Raymore, Mo. Arrangements and media information provided by Holland & Lyons Mortuary. News Review newspaper Ridgecrest CA May 11, 2005 THOMAS EUGENE MOORE Thomas Eugene Moore died Thursday May 5, 2005 at his residence in Ridgecrest. He was 60. All funeral services will be held in Phoenix, Arizona including a visitation and military graveside. Interment will be at the National Cemetery of Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Moore was born on February 18, 1945 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. He was a communications specialist employed by NAWS. Tom joined the army in 1962 and retired in 1985. He started working for the government 6 months later at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. He came to China Lake in 1991. He retired in 1998 and stay ed home and took care of his son Chris. Tom enjoyed watching cartoons and playing Yahtzee with Chris and talking to his daughter Tracy on the phone. He also enjoyed talking on the phone with his best friend Fred Worby.
