He was born on December 25, 1944 to Alvin C. and Amalia Meyerhoff in Fairbank, Iowa. He was a professional truck driver who had over 2,000,000 miles accident-free driving and was a local business owner. He was also Special Forces in the United States Marine Corp. He was married to Kathryn Meyerhoff for 19 years before she passed away in 2002. His parents also predeceased him. He is survived by his fiancé, Georgia Williams of California City; sons Burton Jr. of Lansing, Michigan, Michael of Chicago, and Christopher of Denver; daughter, Brandy King of McMinbille, Tennessee; step-daughter, Janet Whitling of California City, brothers, Kenneth and Lee of Iowa, Lester of Maine; sisters, Florence Meyerhoff and Agnas Sabin, both of Iowa; and 8 grandchildren.
