He carried it around for years! I would love to get a copy of the paper in which it appeared, but it is a mystery to me. It was probably done during the prohibition, because it is about an illegal still. It reads: HELD FOR TRIAL Albert E. Garris and Joe Wells, the lattter an Indian, were arrested in Round Valley December 27th by Sheriff Hutchison, Deputy Sherriff Horton and District Attorney Guthrie, for possessing a still, which is said to hav been in full operation when the officers appeared. They were brought before Justice R.L. Patterson yesterday, wiaved examination and were committed for trial in the Superior Court. Garris under $1000.00 bond and Wells under $200.00. Any help to figure out what newspaper carried this and about what time frame would be most helpful. Thank you.
