Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JW.2ADE/8176 Message Board Post: Daily Independent newspaper Ridgecrest CA Kern County May 29, 2005 TWO DROWN IN ISABELLA ACCIDENTS While water sports are a traditional summer fun activity, water hazards can claim lives. oseph Daniel Eisenzimmer, age 15, of Tehachapi, drowned Friday after he jumped into Borel Flume by swining on a rope. The flume is located on the Kern River about 200 yeards north of Erskine Creek Road and empities into Lake Isabella. Apparently Eisenzimmer was swimming at the flume with two friends. He went into the water about 1:23 p.m. and did not come back up. His friends reportedly saw him go into the water, did not see him surface and called for help. The Kern County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue Unit was called in Friday. People apparently checked specific spots in the flume throughout the night. A full search was resumed Saturday morning and Eisenzimmer's body was located at 6:40 a.m. A second male juvinile went missing Saturday about 1:30 p.m. He reportedly jumed into the water at French Gluch on Lake Isabella and failed to come back up. Divers were on scene and searching the area by 3 p.m. They were still searching along with member of the Kern County Search and Rescue group as darkness neared.
