Schuler, 72, who died Aug. 25 in his home at 1714 Verde St., will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph Cox will officiate, and interment will be in the Masonic section of Union Cemetery. Mr. Schuler was born June 24, 1881, in Mound City, Ill., and had lived in Bakersfield for 40 years. He was associated with a local automobile supply firm, and he was a member of Security Lodge No. 581 F&AM. Survivors include his wife, Alice M. Schuler; sisters, Mrs. John McNeile of Mound City, Mrs. Carlos Parker, Mrs. William Crippen and Mrs. Bertha Schuler of Mounds, Ill., Mrs. Charles Richards and Mrs. Russell Hibbs of Cape Giradeau, Mo., Mrs. William Buerkle of Jonesboro, Ark., Mrs. Jess Hess of Centralia, Ill., Mrs. F. B. Fill of Toledo, O., and Mrs. Claude McCabe of Chicago, Ill; brothers, Robert Schuler of Flint, Mich., Walter Schuler of Tulsa, Okla., John Schuler of Cape Giradeau, and Everett Schuler of Mound City; and a nephew, S. B. Gill of Bakersfield. Pallbearers will be Vincent J. Ninteman, Tom Holson, Ted Hougham, Henry McCullen, Robert Dixon and Archie Frick.
