Another car-train crash at 1:27 a.m. today on Chester Avenue at the Southern Pacific crossing sent the driver and his three passengers to the hospital two of them with major injuries. Killed outright when his 1955 model club coupe crashed into the 20th car of a 40-car train bound for Mojave was Samuel Frank Bangle, 68, and his lone passenger, Anna Lorene Martin, 33, both of 351 Ridgecrest Blvd., Ridgecrest. Investigating highway patrol officers had no explanation for the crash, saying the weather was clear and visibility good. Train engineer was identified as Frank Ralston, 60, of Mojave, with 32 years experience with Southern Pacific.
