He was 60. Visitation will be Thursday June 30 from noon to 3 pm at Holland & Lyons Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm at the chapel. The Rev. Robert E. Gamel of St. Ann Catholic Church will officiate. Military rites will be provided by the US Navy Honor Guard, China Lake. Inurnment will be private. Mr. Klaus was born Apr. 28, 1945 in Hays, Kan. He had lived in Inyokern for 28 years. He served in the US Navy from 1963 to 1966 and was a boilermaker mechanic by trade. He retired in 1993. His family says this about him: "He was a loving husband and father and will be missed forever. He went to be with his dearly departed loved ones." Mr. Klaus is survived by his wife Alexis Klaus of Inyokern, son Anthony Klaus of Wyoming, daughter April Sizemore of Ridgecrest, son Charles Klaus of Ridgecrest, sisters Rose Hamel and Cindy Sheley, both of Hays, Kan., nine grandchildren mother-in-law Lucille Valizan of Inyokern, brother-in-law Tony Valizan of Inyokern, sister-in-law Janet Stuebner, brother-in-law Charles Valizan and daughter-in-law Denise Opper.
