She was 92. A memorial service will be held Friday June 24 at 11 am at Immanuel Baptist Church. Pastor Bill Logan will officiate. Mrs. Delk was born June 27, 1912 in Washington. She had lived in Ridgecrest for 30 years and was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She liked to collect and wear pins and enjoyed giving candy to little children at church. She was noted for her friendliness and sharp sense of humor and will be truly missed. She is in the Lord's presence as of June 13, 2005. Mrs. Delk was a nurse and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Tex Delk in 1974, son Robert Purjue in 2001, two sisters Margaret Haun and Virginia Peterson and a brother Paul Walden. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Allen and Geri Haun of Ridgecrest of Ridgecrest, sister Eleanor Day of Spokane, Wash., grandchildren Thomas Haun and wife Faith of Lancaster, Pam and husband Mike Abdollahzadeh of Lodi, and Catherine and husband Chori Seraiah of Salem, Ore., and seven great grandchildren.
