She was 83. Memorial services will be held at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St., Bakersfield on Saturday June 4 at 2 pm. Pastor Ken Armstrong will officiate. Mrs. McDonald was born Feb. 3, 1922 to Floyd Cecil and Deborah Miner. In 1939 she married Joseph Adams and they began a family. Her family says this about her: "Mama loved and reared 10 children and she was an integral part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives. God gave us His best when He gave us our Mama. She stood strong through all of life's challenges. She lived her life an an example to us all. Mama, you will be greatly missed. You will live in our hearts forever." She was prceded in death by husband Joseph Adams, son Floyd Adams, son Steve Adams, son Eddie Adams, daughter Leona Adams and brother Dewey Miner. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Dale and Juliette Adams, daughter Joretta Adams, daughter Alta Schaufelberger, daughter and son-in-law Joyce and Stan Collins, daughter Julia Adams, son David McDonald, daughter-in-law Jana Adams, sister Tessie Scott, sister-in-law Modine Raymond, 28 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
