C20 FLIPPIN, Vernie Lue - Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., Thursday, March 21, at 1:30 p.m. for Vernie Lue Flippin, 80, who passed away March 15 in a Bakersfield hospital. Rev. Bill Raber will officiate and interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Flippin was a native of Oklahoma and had resided in Kern County for 40 years. Survivors include her son, Kenneth Flippin of Kansas; daughter, Erma Willey, Imo Jean Graham, Wanda Hays, all of Bakersfield, Barbara Seifert of Sunnymead, Kay Cox of Ridgecrest, Sandra Nagel of Oxnard; brother, Virgil Elms of Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
