Surnames: Ortiz, Huntsaker, Howell Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JW.2ADE/8516 Message Board Post: Francis W.Potter Taken In Death Funeral services for Francis Willard Potter of 2156 Barstow Highway were held on Tuesday, May 19, 1959 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mojave. Mr. Potter passed away last Friday, Feb. 15th. He was born Feb. 21, 1915 at Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. In 1946 be received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy after which he went to work for the Water and Power Company in Van Nuys. He was there about ten years then moved to Mojave where he worked for the Los Angeles Water and Power Company as a patrolman. He is survived by his widow, Mary Jane Potter, one step daughter, Mrs. Joe Ortiz of Van Nuys and his mother, Mrs. John Potter of Lava Hot Springs; four brothers, Glen and Darrell of Lava Hot Springs, Arthur of Cathlamet, Washington and Charles, serving with the U. S. Navy; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Huntsaker of Brigham City, Utah and Mrs. Ida Howell of Atomic City, Utah; several nephews and nieces in various locales. Interment will be at Pocatello, Idaho.. Mr. George T. Zirkle was the presiding elder and Turner Funeral Home was in charge of the arangements.
