Michael Jay Sorter, who resided with his parents at Kayo Trailer Court was killed late Saturday afternoon in an automobile accident. Sorter was the driver of a car that raced over an embankment on a county road near Hart Park east of Bakersfield last Saturday afternoon. The driver was dead when taken to a hospital. . He is survived by his parents and a brother Merle according to reliable information. Services were held Tuesday in Bakersfield. Surviving the crash was Gary Marcus Andrews also of Mojave. Andrews was listed as the owner of the car but he was not driving. The same road has claimed at least a dozen lives in the past 10 years because of sharp curves and rolling terrain.
