He was 76. Visitation will be held Tuesday June 28 from 4 to 8 pm at Holland & Lyons Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 29 at noon at Immanuel Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at Desert Memorial Park. A reception will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Davis was born in Muscle Shoals, Ala. on June 15, 1929. He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He ended his enlistment at China Lake and became employed with civil service as an electronics integration specialist where he retired after 27 years of service. He was an accomplished guitarist and loved gospel and country music. In his youth he played guitar in swing bands and in Ridgecrest he played with local gospel musicians. He and his wife owned Joyce's Antiques and Collectables in Inyokern and a family homestead cattle ranch in Hannah, Okla. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 54 years Joyce Davis of Ridgecrest, daughters Brenda McQuiston and her husband Jonathan, Shari Davidson and her husband Ross all of Ridgecrest and Glenda Godshall andher husband Eric of Nashua, N.H., son David Davis and his wife Barbara of Ridgecrest, eight granddaughters, three grandsons and three great gransons.
