Kane Called By Death Ralph Edmond Kane, 433 Central Ave., Oxnard, Calif. and a former resident of Mojave, passed away in a Ventura, Calif. hospital on January 3, 1959 after a three month illness. He was born on Dec. 3, 1891 at Natawaka, Kansas and was employed by the U. S. Navy as a fireman at Pt. Mugu for the past 11 years. He was a resident of Mojave from 1931 to 1947 and was a son-in-law of Mr. Ray Snow. A member of the Congregational Church of Mojave, he is survived by his wife Mary of Oxnard; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Parra of San Francisco; two brothers, George of Santa Margarita, Calif.; Robert of Johnson, Kansas; also two sisters. Mrs. Mary Jones of Johnson, Kansas and Mrs. Lucy Ann Casebolt of St. Joseph, Mo. Services were held Wednesday, January 7, 1959 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mojave Community Congregational Church with Rev. James Thompson officiating. Mr. A. D. Appleby was soloist and Mrs. Myra Craig acted as organist. Interment was in Mojave District Cemetery with Ted M. Mayr Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
