Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JW.2ADE/8433.2 Message Board Post: The 1910 census of Kern Co., Calif., Twp #3 shows Samuel Sapp as a 24-yr old single man, born in Florida working as an Oil well laborer. I find no enumeration of him in either the 1920 or 1930 census nor any listing in the CA Death Index (1905-2000). The CA Death Index was created by the state of CA from the death certificates issued throughout the state. Obituaries prior to 1980 are not indexed here in Kern Co., so searching for an obit on him just isn't possible without a definite date of death. It would appear that Sam did not die in Calif.
