EDWARDS 1936-2005 Marie E. Edwards passed away Wednesday June 1, 2005 of natural causes at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. She was 68. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation will be private. Marie was born Sept. 11, 1936 in Lawndale, Calif. She was an excutive secretary. She was a Ridgecrest resident since 1988 and a resident of Hawthorne previously. Marie was executive secretary at the Carriage Inn for a number of years and Secretary/Treasurer with GEBA for the past eight years. Marie was a very active member and Board Member of the Friends of the Fair for over 14 years. A former Campfire Girl Leader, Marie continued to enjoy volunteering throughout the community with different organizations. Her many hobbies included caring for personal ets and a variety of animals, hiking, camping and gem and mineral collecting. She truley enjoyed spending time with family. She is survived by her husband Norman A. Webb of Ridgecrest, adopted son Richard Howell, brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Linda Edwards and Mark and Nancy Edwards, sister and brother-in-law JoAnn and Jim Doersam, special nephew Jim Doersam II, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, her dog Sunny.
