He was 77. Viewing will be held at the Ridgecrest Mortuary on Friday June 3 from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Trona Foursquare Church on Saturday, June 4 at 9 am. Burial will follow at the Searles Valley Cemetery. Pastors Dan Hellyer, Gary Nichols and Mel Wilson will officiate. A reception will be held at the Foursquare family center where friends and family will share memories and celebrate the wonderful life and legacy of a man who touched the hearts and lives of many. Mr. Fuller was born April 5, 1928 in Baxter Springs, Kan. to Chester N. and Flora B. Hopkins Fuller. He was the sixth child in a family of nine. He married Betty Currey on Nov. 25, 1948 and moved to Trona in 1949. He worked as a custodian at Trona Schools and for Baker Brothers as a gas station attendant before going to work as a pipe fitter for American Potash and Chemical Corporation. For many years he worked a second job for Gale Harvey as a station attendant and pallet builder. He retired from Kerr McGee in 1973 but immediately went to work for the Naval Weapons Center, China Lake. After 20 years as a civil servant (and numerous award, including the Renne award in 1989) Mr. Fuller retired to his new home in Weldon. The Fullers relocated to Ridgecrest in 2000 in order to be closer to family and friends. He was a member of the Christian Assembly Church in Mount Mesa and very active in his community. He was a supporter of kid's programs and charity fund-raisers with a special interest in programs for the handicapped. He also spent many hours volunteering at the Mount Mesa convalescent hospital, as well as helping many elderly friends. He is survived by his wife Betty of Ridgecrest, sister Juanita Parker of Whitehead, Okla., son Kelly Fuller of Mount Mesa, daughters and sons-in-law Reva and Ray Williams of Trona, Lyvonia and Clay Austill of Charles Town, W.Va., and Priscilla and Dennis Benadom of Trona, grandchildren C.D. Austill of Colorado Springs, Colo., Andrew Austill of Charles Town, W.Va., Jeana Williams of Ridgecrest, Becca and Roy MacLean, Tony and Vicki Williams, Cristofer Hisely and Erik Benadom all of Trona, great-grandchildren Sebastian, Ariel and Zera-Hemla-Elaine Austill, Heather, J.D., Ian and Cindy Williams, Nikia Magby and baby MacLean, numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends who were all adopted into the Fuller family.
