Morse June 11, 1933 - June 6, 2005 Harry F. Morse, 72, passed away at his home in Tehachapi on July 6, after a short illness surrounded by family and friends. Harry was born June 11, 1933, in Danville, Ark. He served with the reserve to complete eight years of service. Harry began a career with Pepsi-Cola that spanned many years, beginning in Stockton and eventually moving to Bakersfield and Mojave. He married Patricia Sears on Feb. 15, 1976, in Carson City, Nev. They moved to Tehachapi in 1978. Harry loved nature and animals, especially birds. For the past 20-plus years, Harry had been an integral part of the Benz operations. He had been with Paul from the early days, serving as general manager, Paul’s right-hand man and very close friend. He will be remembered as a trustworthy, reliable, steadfast and extremely generous man and an employee whose loyalty and diligence was above reproach. Enough cannot be said about Harry. He had the character and spirit of a man who enjoyed his life, his work and his family. A man of such loyalty and integrity will truly leave a void and be missed by all who know and loved him. Harry is survived by his loving wife, Pat Morse of Tehachapi; children, Shelly and Eugene Williams, Lisa and Robert Royce and Perry Morse, all of Stockton, Kathy and Russ Wynn of Caruthers, and Rick and Jodi Sears of Arlington, Wash.; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Donnie Morse and wife Vonnie; sister, Addie Rodriquez; as well as a host of special friends. A memorial service celebrating Harry’s life will be held Saturday, July 16, at 1 p.m. at the Benz-Visco Park on Tehachapi-Willow Springs Road. A barbecue will follow the informal memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Optimal Hospice, 4800 Stockdale Highway, Suite 215, Bakersfield, CA 93309 or to the American Cancer Society, 1523 California Ave., Bakersfield, CA. 93304. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the cremation arrangements.
