Rev. Gary Bashor will officiate. the Associated Veterans of Kern County will conduct military rites. Burial will be held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Mr. Smith, born in Boston, MA., had resided in Kern County for 20 years. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed as a custodian for seven years. He is survived by his sons, Ken of Bakersfield, Lloyd Smith II of Cave Junction, OR., Armand of Portland, OR., Jack of Grants Pass, OR., Steve and Mike Smith of Cave Junction, OR.; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Farnsworth Toppin of Long Beach; and a sister, Audrey Smith of Los Angeles. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:00a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary, Bakersfield. Sharon Kern Co. Volunteer
