Scene of the fatal accident was 22 miles east of Mojave on Hwy. 466. Names of those pronounced DOA at Mojave Hospital are Don Lee Moody, 20, Mrs. Betty Rucker, 19, and Randy Moody, 5, all of Oklahoma City. CHP officers who reconstructed the accident said the sedan, traveling west toward Mojave at a good clip apparently crossed over the center line and directly into the front wheel of the huge vehicle tearing the wheel completely off. Two of the passengers were thrown from the car and the driver pinned in the wreckage. Three injured persons were brought to Mojave Medical Center and are reported to be in fair condition. These are Lori Ann Rucker, 16 months; Dwight Moody, 26, and Lois, 25, his wife. 'The body of Randy Moody was struck by another car as it came on the scene a few seconds after the accident. This car was driven by Joyce R. Gooding, 23, of Chandler Heights, Arizona, The bodies of Betty Rucker, Don Lee, Moody and Randy Moody were taken to Turner Funeral Home and later the Rucker body was shipped to Chico, Calif.
