Individualized help will be available after the formal presentation for those who want to order DNA tests or who have received DNA results and need help. A drawing will be held for a $30 discount certificate for ordering a DNA test. Brown bag or join us for pizza ($5.00) For additional information contact Alice Fairhurst at afairhurst@earthlink.net. This new project of SCGS's promises to be a big success, gathering more than 4,000 surname entries within the first week. Mentions in Rootsweb Review, Dick Eastman's blog, and Leland Meitzler's Genealogy Blog, among other sites, helped to boost awareness of this new initiative. It's not too late to submit your names. Read more about it in "Breaking News" at www.scgsgenealogy.com ----------------------- Don't forget to bring an extra copy of your pedigree charts or family group sheets for inclusion in the SCGS manuscript files. I am so very grateful for your help. This is the person I was looking for. I find it strange that she changed her last name to PAIGE instead of PAGE, and that she was now going by Ruby, which was short for her middle name Rubetta. She had always been referred to in documents as Disa or Ditha. I'm curious as to how they thought she was a native to Mississippi. Her parents were my g-g-g-grandparents and her husband was my g-grandfather's brother, so I am kin on both sides. Thank you again!
