I too am interested in Cain's from SC, however I do not know their given names. My gg-grandfather James Alexander Cain was born in KY c1823, married Mary Jane Williams in Morgan, MO, 28 Jun 1846. The 1880 Tulare County, California census gives information that both parents were born in SC. If you have any information that might relate to who his parents were I would greatly appreciate it. Given names of his children were Henry S., Jiles Lee (my line), John Dixon, James Alexander Jr., Joseph T., Samuel Robert, Mary Jane, Martha Ellen, and Nancy Ellen..
