He died in 1861, probably in Coxackie, Greene County, NY. Stacy married Margaret Cain (1784-1861). Their children include: Sarah born 1797 (married Isaac Houghtaling (1797-1877) in 1818) Isaac born 1810 (married Juliette Adams Permelia Isaac Note: Stacy Brown is shown in several family trees as a female with no spouse. His will, probated in 1847 in Greene County, includes his spouse Margaret as an heir. He is also a will testator in Greene County. Stacy Brown, one of nine children was the son of Josiah Brown (1741-1818) and Lois Chapman (1743-c. 1779), who were married in 1762 in Westchester County, NY. They were probably married in Salem Center. The other eight children: Nathan, born c.1762 Josiah, born 1764 Ede, born c. 1765 Melvin, born prior to 1772 Leaming born prior to 1772 Zadock born c. 1774 Lois born c. 1776 Horace born. c. 1779 Lois Chapman was the daughter of William Chapman (pre 1725-?) and Mary Stoddard (pre 1728-?).
