Martha CAIN a.k.a. Martha CANEDO was born about 1782/1790, in either Tennessee or Washington Co., Virginia. In December 1806 she married Jessie Dever a.k.a. Jessie Tate, in Claiborne Co., Tennessee. In 1850 this family was in Perry Township, Monroe County, Indiana (census data). In 1873 the widow Dever lived in Majority Point, Cumberland County, Illinois, where she filed an application for a pension. Her parantage is completly unknown. She MAY BE a daughter of David Cain (b. 1758 VA) but this has not been established. Any information about her would be appreciated. She is my g-g-g-grandmother.
