This family is enumerated in the 1850 census of the Eastern Division of Cumberland county, NC. Catherine CAIN age 49 Somantha " age 35 Sophia " age 17 Richardson " age 15 James " age 14 Costin(??) " age 10 (male) Caroline " age 10 Susannah " age 75 Does anyone have linkage to or further knowledge of this family? >From the ages of Mrs. Catherine CAIN (born ca 1801) and her last two children, I think she may be the wife of William Cain and they the parents of Robert "Wiley"Cain, who by now is married and living nearer to his wife's STARLING family in the same Eastern Division of Cumberland county. I want to prove or disprove that hypothesis. Assuming for the moment that proves true, does anyone have further info on the supposed mother-in-law, Mrs. Susannah CAIN ( born ca 1775) and which CAIN was her husband?
