I hope this still helps you. I am descended from Smith W. Cain from Russell/Pulaksi Co. I believe he stayed in Kentucky to raise his family. His wife was Emily Ann Nelson. Some of his children were Milford, Achilles, Martha Ellen. I do not believe there was a Daniel. So I would say that you need the Smith Cain from Jefferson Co.
