It's been a little hectic around here. My Cain family is through the Nicholas Cain line in the Shenandoah Valley whose children migrated West from there. In the Ohio Valley of what is now WV, there were at least 3 different Cain lines. You mentioned a Walter Cain who married Elizabeth Wilson. There is a Richard Cain who married an Elizabeth Martin who lived in Monongahalia County, VA in the late 1700's & early 1800's. I have a great deal of info on this line. There was also a Walter Cain line that lived in Brooke County, VA & Jefferson County, OH. They are across the Ohio River from one another. I have some information about them too. Can you tell me a little more about your Walter Cain? There are several Walter Cain's in that area. I think this line may have come from NJ. Because there is a large Cain gathering there in the late 1600's and early 1700's. Shirley
