My family started to come here to Michigan 4 generations ago. My gr gr grandfather name was also John James Cain. He had 17 children so it was very difficult to follow our family history. Most of the Cains that live in this area are very strange about talking about their family history, as you may have found, but I am willing to share any info that I have if you are interested.
