Some of my information is documented and some has just been found in other correspondences and records. The early information was obtained from the LDS Library record # 184820 and from Wayne R. Cain as a result of his extensive searching for his roots (Jonathan not in his line) before he wrote his book. He is no longer living and his books are all sold. I have also been to SC and obtained some documentation from the SC Archives and also from the Charleston SC Library. A lot more work is needed in proving what I have listed, so please use the above info only as a launch pad to prove information. I have a record from SC Archives which is a bill of sale for a young male slave in which Jonathan Cain received $2000 for him. I couldn't put my hands on it to give the name of the slave, but it is in one of my files. Should you want further correspondence on this family, my email is [email protected] Carol Cain Headley
