He was 7 which would make his birth year about 1873. He was born in Texas and was the brother to my ggrandmother. I don't know who he married. Do you know his father's name or siblings? It is possible he is the one. There were a lot of Cains in Polk County (part of Polk went to make San Jacinto in the late 1870's or thereabouts).

Several of my grand aunts married and moved to Kansas City KS/MO around 1900-1910. Their names were Jeanette and Luanna Cain (married names unknown), Audelle Cain Wilson, and Florence Cain Thornton. My grandfather, Clyde Cain b. 1888, lived in Pittsburgh PA and visited his sisters in Kansas City MO often. I have a pic of him taken around 1945 and he is in his undershirt with arm around a young woman identified as "Ailsy (Ailsa) Buck, Kansas City MO" Since my grandfather was a very formal man, I am assuming he had to be staying in Ailsa's home and she must be family for him to be in his undershirt. Buck could be Ailsa's married name. I am looking for any information on Luanna, Florence, Jeanette, Audelle (nee Cain) or Ailsa Buck.

Would you be willing to share the information and sources you have on the children of John Cain and Cynthia Clark? Much of my information on Justus (Justice) Cain is sketchy and comes from a family Bible I have. Justus was married to Eliza Orton. This marriage was her second, and there is an indication that Justus took in her children (surname of LeSeur) by her previous marriage. Justus' son, Curtis William (sometimes found as William Curtis) b.20Apr1844, married Julia Maria Huntington in 1870. CW, as my father calls him, was a carpenter. He and Julia had 5 children: Stella Maria b.15Sep1871, Olive Huntington b.17Aug1874, Clinton Alfred b.16Jan1883, Mabel Julia (my grandmother) b.07Sep1885, Robert Severance b.27May1889. All children were born in Omaha, NE.
