Their son James Cain married Martha Fisher and their son, James McKinney Cain was named for his grandmother Susannah. James McKinney Cain married Serilda Jane Pigg and he was a brother to Sarah Catherine Cain and my G Grandmother, Margaret Cain, who married George Tacket and later married John Ransom Miller. If possible, I would love a copy of the bible pages with this documentation. Most of what I have has come from interviews with other family members, census reports and death certificates. Also, if anyone out there has a photo of Margaret Cain Tacket Miller, I would be eternally grateful for a copy. I have never seen one and my mother, her granddaughter hasn't either. I don't even know if one exists.

I have researched the Nicholas Cain line for about 38 years now. John Cain who married Charity ?Booth? was one of Nicholas' sons. John lived in Harrison County, Virginia. He went there from Augusta County, Virginia and never left that area. I come from that line of Cains. We have done DNA testing and that has helped to prove that we have done our research right. But there were also other sons of Nicholas' that went into TN & KY before moving on into IN, IL, MO and KS. There could be a connection there for you. My aunt gave me the info. I hope it's not incorrect. It's got Susannah Mckinney being married to john cain son of john cain and charity booth.It's got a marriage date of March 12 1800 in clark co. ky. Oney must have been written as Any, on that marriage record.--Why is there another record, July 17,1817?? Maybe someone had miscopied or were trying to get her name spelled correctly.
