First, my apologies for cross-posting! I have an incomplete picture of my husband's gr-grandfather's family who lived in Indianapolis, IN. His gr-grandfather, Thomas N. Cain/Kane was married to Mary C. Meehan and had four children born in Indiana: Joseph Wilbur (b.1/20/1897), Grace (b.9/30/1900), Thomas E.(?; b.~1903) and Patrick E.(?; b.11/22/1906). I have information on Joseph Wilbur (husband's grandfather) and his sister Grace, who'd married George D. Nickerson of Indianapolis, but have a only vague hint that Thomas E. married a woman named Annis (sp? variant?) with no confirming records yet and no information on Patrick E. other than a serendipitous birth records list I found reprinted in a book and a vague memory from my brother-in- law that he'd heard from his grandfather (Joseph Wilbur himself) that Patrick died in the 1930s without children. I would appreciate any help with Thomas E. and Patrick E. Kane/Cain. NOTE on spelling: I have found census records of Thomas N. with the spelling CAIN. After his death in about 1912/13, census and other records I found show the spelling KANE for the surviving family; My husband's family uses this spelling.

Tera, What kind of info do you want? In my searching for my Cain's in Illinois, Kansas and Ohio I have come across Francis F. and Elizabeth Stewart Cain/Cane. I have not been able to place them into my family but have collected some info. I have census records and also Elizabeth's father's estate records. But still can't identify if they are connected to my Cain's. They very well could be as my Cain's were all from the area in Perry Co Ohio that they came from. They were both 14. She was a match to the info that I had on her parents, Seaborn and Mary Sizemore. It also listed all of Seaborn's sisters and inlaws that lived as their neighbors too. It is too much of a coincidence to be a different Cain. But, He was listed as Jonathon WM Cain b0 1866 to Cicero and Mary Cain. He is not their son Jonathon WM Franklin but the other one listed. I do have their marriage certificate and he is listed as W J J Cain m- Vina Sizemore. It doesn't say who his parents were to 100% match him to Cicero and Mary Cain. Does anyone out there have info to share? Lisa in CA
