Could have had more but can't prove anything at this time. His wife and/or mother of these children was Nancy or Ann, last name unknown. She was born abt 1796.

Then, did this Mary (Margaret) Swisher remarried to John R. Cain in 1835? On the Marriage license of a Absolom S. Swisher, in Brown County Illinois, he lists his parents as A. S. Swisher and Mary (Unknown). Is it coincidence that these to Absolom's were born in 1831, one being a Kain and the other a Swisher, or, is it possible that Mary was a widow of A. S. Swisher in 1835, when her son Absolom was 4, and when she remarried John R. Cain April 13, 1835? First, is there anyone on the list that is a descendant of a Absolom Kain/Cain? Does anyone have any information on this Absalom Kain/Cain born 1831? Anyone have any opinions? Thomas W. Rogers
